Weekend getaWAY for kids with cancer

Each year, the Mile of Hope provides young cancer patients and their families a fun-filled weekend at the beach. The event brings a little sunshine, joy and optimism into the lives of these special children and their families.

This year is a Pirate/Treasure Island  themed weekend hosted by Atlantis Lodge and the Hampton Inn.

Three different hospitals (ECU, UNC and DUKE) recommend the 35 children to attend the weekend. Families are included. Also, the patients live in the NC East District.

It costs about $600 per family to attend - at no cost to them. We send them with your support! 

The weekend costs approximately $20,000. Donations are needed.
